The PNX6712 delivers superior voice quality and industryleading standby times. It supports quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G operation, plus HSDPA/EDGE (HEDGE).
It uses an ARM926-EJ processor, manufactured in a powerefficient, 65-nm CMOS process technology, that runs at 312 MHz and is supported by 32 kB each of instruction and data cache. For maximum flexibility, the ARM processor is complemented by two 16-bit DSP cores that can be programmed to keep pace with evolving algorithms and
new codecs. The on-chip modem delivers EGPRS Class 12 perbbbbance, with DTM class 5/9/11 and single antenna interface cancellation (SAIC).
NXPs Nexperia Cellular Multimedia Baseband PNX6712 outperbbbbs existing HSPA-EDGE basebands in its category by combining best-in-class multimedia features, up to 750 hours of standby, 45 hours of MP3 and 8 hours of video playback, and a multitude of connectivity options for anytime, anywhere content transfer. The solution provides manufacturers a platbbbb for high-perbbbbance multimedia phones, with a highly flexible and efficient architecture built around an ARM926-EJ processor, unique algorithms for voice and video, hardware accelerated low-power video, graphics and camera features, and built-in security and digital rights management (DRM).
