　　EXPLANATION OF SPD TECHNICAL TERM

　　電涌保護(hù)器 （SPD） surge protective device

　　用于限制瞬時(shí)過電壓和泄放電涌電流的電器，它至少包含一個非線性的元件。

　　The appliance used to limit transient over voltage and discharge the surging current, it includes one of non-linear element at least.

　　電壓開關(guān)型SPD voltage switching type SPD

　　沒有電涌時(shí)具有高阻抗，有浪涌電壓時(shí)能立即轉(zhuǎn)變成低阻抗的SPD。電壓開關(guān)型SPD常用的元件有放電間隙、氣體放電管、閘流管（硅可控整流器）和三端雙向可控硅開關(guān)元件。這類SPD有時(shí)也稱作“短路型SPD”。

　　SPD that it shows high impedance when there has no surging, and becomes low impedance while surging voltage occurs . Voltage switching type SPD generally composed of discharging gap, gas discharging tube, thyratron （silicone controllable rectifier） and three-ending bidirectional silicone switching element. Sometimes it also call “short circuit type SPD”

　　電壓限制型SPD voltage limiting type SPD

　　沒有電涌時(shí)具有高阻抗，但是隨著電涌電流和電壓的上升，其阻抗將持續(xù)地減小的SPD。常用的非線性元件是：壓敏電阻和抑制二極管。這類SPD有時(shí)也稱作“籍位型SPD”。

　　SPD that it shows high impedance when there has no surging, but the impedance will decrease gradually while surging current and voltage rise up. Common non-linear element: piezoresistance, and clamping diode, Sometimes it also call “Clamping SPD”

　　復(fù)合型SPD combination SPD

　　由電壓開關(guān)型元件和電壓限制型元件組成的SPD。其特性隨所加電壓的特性可以表現(xiàn)為電壓開關(guān)型、電壓限制型或兩者皆有。

　　SPD constructed of voltage switching and voltage limiting elements. The characteristics curve can take on the characteristics of voltage switching or limiting type, or both.

　　保護(hù)模式modes of protection

　　SPD 保護(hù)元件可以連接在相對相（L-L）、相對地（L-PE）、相對中線（L-N）、中線對地（N-PE）及其組合。這些連接方式稱作保護(hù)模式。

　　Protective element of SPD can be connected between phase line to phase line （L-L）， phase line to earth （L-PE）， phase line to neutral line （L-N）， neutral line to earthing line （N-PE） or their combination. These connections call protection modes.

　　允許持久地施加在SPD上的最大交流電壓有效值或直流電壓。其值等于額定電壓。

　　Maximum AC virtual voltage or DC voltage allowed to be applied on SPD continuously, the value equal to rated voltage.

　　電壓保護(hù)水平Up voltage protection level

　　表征SPD限制接線端子間電壓的性能參數(shù)，其值可從優(yōu)先值的列表中選擇。該值應(yīng)大于限制電壓的最高值。

　　It indicates the performance of SPD limiting the voltage between terminals being connected. The value can be selected from the sheet of prior values. This value shall be larger than highest limited voltage.
